Yha Buttermere

I recently had a fantastic stay in this hotel and I can confidently say it is one of my favorites in the Lake District. The location is stunning, with beautiful views of the surrounding mountain scenery. It's very close to Buttermere lake and within easy reach of everything in The Lakes. The prices are extremely reasonable, especially for a dormitory bed at £15. The staff were friendly and helpful, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The basic amenities were all there, including a self-catering kitchen where I could prepare my own meals. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with two single beds that provided a good night's sleep. And to top it all off, the breakfast was delicious, served with attention to detail.

We had a fantastic stay at YHA Buttermere! The location was fine, with a gorgeous view from our bedroom window. The staff were helpful and friendly, making us feel right at home. The atmosphere was lovely and we enjoyed the sense of community. The accommodation had a charming, old-school trip feel with historic features like sash windows. The farm cafe nearby served delicious food and ice cream. We also loved the bird feeders just outside our window, providing a special touch of nature. I highly recommend this hotel for a nice stay.

Located in a beautiful spot in the Lake District, this comfortable hostel offers easy access to great pubs, supermarkets, and local information centres. Visitors can also go swimming in a nearby lake and enjoy stunning views from the communal areas and bedrooms. the staff are friendly and accommodating, and the hostel is kept in excellent condition with a large drying room and nice dining area.

Some parking difficulties.

We got great value for our money at Yha Buttermere. The room was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds and useful shelves. The location was perfect, within walking distance to the village and main routes. The staff were friendly and Tom at reception was helpful.

The breakfast option could be improved by offering a more varied menu, especially for those who prefer a fuller meal in the mornings.

The shared dormitory can be noisy due to snoring and if you're a light sleeper, be sure to bring earplugs. The Wi-Fi signal was weak and intermittent, which may pose a problem for some.

Clean hostel with well-equipped kitchen. Helpful and friendly staff. Limited onsite parking, but ample space along the road. Perfect base for hiking, close to Buttermere lake.

Perfect location just a short walk from the lake and village pubs. the staff were friendly and welcoming. the beds were comfy and the cleanliness was excellent. having a sink in the room was a nice touch.

The food was a letdown. the breakfast baps were also expensive and not worth the price.

The only minor downside was that the drying room could have been better. While there was ample space for wet gear to dry, some items were still damp in the morning.

We loved the location, close to the lake and local pubs. Cleanliness was excellent and staff friendly. Good breakfast.
